Tarkan Bastiyali is a New York–based entrepreneur and inventor whose career blends real estate, hospitality, and product innovation. After graduating from NYU (History, 2000), he transformed his family’s 267 Fifth Avenue property into a specialty textile hub featured in Home Textiles Today. In 2005 he opened Midtown Loft & Terrace, a two-floor event venue that has hosted Fortune 500 brands alongside weddings and cultural events, and later launched Midtown Loft Productions (2011) to elevate client experiences. A retractable enclosed roof and a private-elevator lobby added in 2015 enabled separate rentals and year-round use. The venue is known for charitable partnerships and a strong European—especially UK—client base, and has earned WeddingWire Couples’ Choice honors for thirteen consecutive years through 2023.

Between 2017 and 2019, Bastiyali filed eleven patents, five of which have been granted, and in 2019 he was inducted into Marquis Who’s Who in America. He founded Bastiyali Inventions in 2020 to showcase patented products and futuristic concepts and co-founded Smart Sanitizer, which appeared in NASCAR and NHRA sponsorships; in 2021, driver Justin Ashley won the NHRA Texas Fall Nationals in the Smart Sanitizer car. Across ventures, Bastiyali focuses on practical, scalable solutions that pair clear user value with disciplined execution.
